It just so happens that I really want to get a Flip to take to a certain concert, so keep an eye out for a massive blowout sale on lenses. I need the space and I need the money, so watch your communities for advertisements when the day comes.

We would first like to apologize for the delay in responses. We are working hard to get back to everyone, and orders are still in place. The order for the contact lenses has been placed, and we are filling orders on the anime merchandise as they arrive.

Please remember that we are not full-time on this; we're in college, on the quarter system, and taking a full course load while running this business. We get back to you as quickly as we can, but our academics are prioritized over the business.

[ Updates ] Geo Lenses Order I

As of 2.22.09, the payment to the supplier is in transit. As soon as payment is completed, lenses will be shipped to Vainglory for distribution.

As of 3.2.09, the supplier is preparing our order for shipment. The package will arrive within two weeks of shipping, and your items will be mailed out immediately upon arrival.

As of 3.7.09, the supplier is shipping our order on Monday. The delay was an error on the part of PayPal due to the time it took to verify funds. I will be doing my best to get all orders in your hands before the last week of March.

As of 3.8.09, we are unable to accept orders from Singapore on GEO lenses.

As of 3.10.09, our supplier has not shipped yet due to a backlog of orders. I am very sorry for this, and I will be doing my best to plan for this kind of delay in future orders.

As of 3.14.09, our supplier has informed us that he will be shipping on Monday. This means the lenses will most likely arrive in the last week of March. This delay is unacceptable, and we apologize for the inconvenience it has caused our customers.

All prices are in US Dollars. We will accept conversions via PayPal.
Shipping will be combined for multiple items, but may cost more for weight.
All packages are shipped from Seattle, WA, using the United States Postal Service.

Prescriptions for Contact Lenses

Vainglory Devices strongly recommends that all customers visit an eye doctor to acquire a current prescription before ordering their lenses. A prescription will allow you to choose the strength and power of the lens that are best for you, and will make your contact wearing experience more enjoyable in the long run.

Vainglory Devices accepts prescriptions via fax, email, and photocopy sent by mail.

You can find an optometrist using the search engine provided at Vision Directory, a website designed to help patients find their nearest eye doctor.

Contact Lens Care

This is a quick overview of how to care for your new cosmetic contact lenses!

These recommendations are from one contact user to another, and may not cover everything, so be sure to use your best judgment and call your optometrist with any questions.

When you first receive your contact lenses, they will be in a vial that is capped. To open the vial, you have to take off the top rubber cap, and then carefully remove the metal over the second cap and rim. This requires some hard work and probably a pair of scissors. Make sure you don't cut yourself on the metal! Once that's over, you can just pop off the second cap, and there you are!

Storing your contacts in their vials is not good for them, and makes them easier to mix up and lose. Contact cases are sold at every grocery store, in the aisle with all of the medicine and similar products. You can also find contact solution here. Make sure you purchase non-rub solution. There are many brands, but Opti-Free and Renu are the two most commonly used. (I find Renu to be the best, but that's a personal preference.)

When storing your lenses, put the lens from the left eye into the L side of the case, and the lens from the right into the R side. You need to make sure that you do not mix these up, because switching eyes with contacts can spread infections between your eyes. Fill the case up to the top with solution before closing, and if storing for a long period of time, make sure you close the lids tightly. Check the fluid every week or so to make sure it isn't drying up, and put more solution if the level is lower.

Always wash your hands before putting in your lenses. Do not put your lenses in over an open sink drain.

If your vision is blurry or the lens is uncomfortable while you are wearing it, the lens may be backwards or dry. To fix the former, just pop the lens out and turn it the other way. If it is dry, you can put a few drops of solution or wetting drops into your eye to help keep them fresh and comfortable.
